CLINICAL RESEARCH AT PNNI

At PNNI, clinical research is an important part of our mission. The person responsible for leadership of PNNI’s research programs is Stephen Powers MD, the president and founder.   Clinical research allows PNNI to constantly improve the level of care that we are able to provide for our patients.

Clinical research involves patients directly. This type of research is aimed at assessing the safety and efficacy of various treatments. These treatments can be medications, surgical procedures and surgical implants (such as spine fusion surgery or surgery involving deep brain stimulators, vagal nerve stimulators   or spinal stimulators or pumps). At PNNI, we feel that by offering patients the possibility of participating in clinical trials, we are helping to constantly improve the care that PNNI and the neurosurgical community in general are able to provide.

We encourage you to discuss these studies with the medical staff at PNNI if you have any questions or concerns.
